We are trying to source gluten free bakery (for cookies, bread, etc.) on the East Coast. Also a company than can make gluten free baking mixes. Both for contract manufacturing.

Bill Crow said… Bob,
I did leave a message, but as I am not used to using these "thread" formats I proabably sent it awry. To reiterate: the cookie recipe is one my wife developed around 30 years ago for our family use after not being able to find a healthful cookie that was also highly flavorful. I'm out beating the bushes for a suitable company to license it to. I just wanted some guidance on what a realistic royalty percentage of net selling price to be paid by LICENSEE to LICENSOR. "Net selling price" shall mean the price LICENSEE receives from its customers, less any discounts for volume, promotion, defects, or freight.
Thank you for your input. I was expecting something higher but am not experienced in such matters.
Again thanks,
Bill Crow
Bill Crow said… Are you licensing the technology? The recipe? How far developed is it?
"Average" royalty rates in the food industry are around 4% of mfr's net sales. But there's a large range depending on the uniqueness, amount of IP protection, and other factors.
