THE "GO TO" PLACE FOR ANYONE INTERESTED IN SPECIALTY FOOD MARKETING.

MANAGEMENT STYLE - SCARCITY VS ABUNDANCE

This is from the July issue of Wired Magazine:

ELEMENT - SCARCITY ABUNDANCE
Rules: Everything is forbidden. Everything is permitted,
unless it is permitted. Unless it is forbidden.

Social Model - Paternalism Egalitarianism
("We know what's best") ("You know what's best.")

Profit Plan - Business model=We'll figure it out

Decision Process - Top-down, Bottom-up

Organizational Command & control - Out of control

I am on the side of abundance, yet I think the organizational structure is strategically defined rather than out of control.

Steve,

First time on this site (very glad I found it)

The glass is always half full, especially in todays market.
I am very familar with this and have used this process to get others to not focus on the scarcity (what if) and look at everything from a more positive aproach. All with Great Results.
